Overview
The Electrical Engineer is part of a team responsible for programs that maintain and enhance our electric distribution system to ensure safety and reliability. Work on new services equipment start-ups, cogeneration, commissioning's, and new service request.
Responsibilities
- The Electrical Engineer is part of a team responsible for programs that maintain and enhance our electric distribution system to ensure safety and reliability.
- Work on new services equipment start-ups, cogeneration, commissioning's, and new service request.
- Review and approve new installations, designs, and guide designers on building the system.
- Work with customers on new services and equipment requirements.
- Deal with outage and voltage concerns discuss issues directly with customers and come up with plans to resolve.
- Insure equipment is being installed and operated safely.
- Meet with large customers to address concerns and system work.
- On-call responsibilities during major storms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Valid driver’s license and meet the company’s requirements for driving
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong analytical, project management, and team building skills
- This position requires unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets which would require applicants to satisfy all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, which includes a background investigation.
- Power Engineering emphasis or experience with electric distribution system design or operations
- Professional Engineer (PE) license

- Pay Range Minimum: $68,436.68
- Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08
- The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
