Procurement/Supply Chain - Supply Planner Lv1 at IMCS Group in WICHITA, KS

Responsibilities

• This role is responsible for planning day to day Packaged Truck deliveries.
• • Carrier utilization and scheduling, cost and service reporting and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
• • Works with Sales and Supply Chain groups to understand requirements and make best value delivery decisions to support ***’s customer requirements.
• • Supports the sourcing strategy by tendering and managing orders in SAP with tiered carrier rankings.
• • Responsible for day-to-day management of orders from an assigned set of plants and public warehouses.
• • Includes building loads, monitoring of unrouted orders, coordinating ship and delivery dates, handling customer add-ons and broken or changed loads and logging and approving carrier invoiced costs.

Requirements

• The Transportation Planner will help coordinate *** shipments & deliveries to customers & plants. In this role, you will monitor key integrated business planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and help coordinate deliveries to meet high customer-service standards. *Help communicate transportation issues with Business unit stakeholders & carriers.* Work with plants & shipping locations to coordinate pickups. *Other duties as assigned*Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. *Minimum Qualifications*Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience*
• Typical requirements include a degree in logistics, transportation, business or a related field and 2 or more years of experience or 4 years of experience.
