• Sourcing Engineer
• The Sourcing Engineer is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials, components, and services that support manufacturing operations across multiple regions. This role ensures a reliable, and high-quality supply base while mitigating risks and driving supplier performance. The position requires expertise in manufacturing supply chains, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier development.

Responsibilities

• • Sourcing & Strategy – Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, components, equipment, and manufacturing services.
• • Supplier Management – Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers across North America, focusing on cost, quality, capacity & sustainability.
• • Contract Negotiations – Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements to secure favorable terms, pricing, and supply continuity.
• • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet technical and operational requirements.
• • Market Intelligence – Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and geopolitical factors affecting manufacturing supply chains.
• • Cost Optimization – Drive value engineering and cost-reduction projects without compromising product quality or compliance.
• • Risk Management – Manage supplier risk, including dual sourcing and contingency planning.

Requirements

• • Engineering degree and/or experience are required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• • 7+ years of experience in technical procurement or sourcing, with at least 4 years focused on manufacturing supply chains.
• • Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, materials (metals, plastics, electronics, etc.), and production equipment.
• • Experience in global sourcing and supplier management, especially North America.
• • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools (SAP, Oracle, SAP, Coupa, etc.).
• • Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
• • Ability to travel internationally (10-20%).
