Job description

• Service Advisors assist customers with repair and scheduled maintenance service requests. They help to ensure the vehicle is fixed and maintained properly and within a specified time frame. Excellent communication skills are necessary in this position.
• Reports To: Service Manager

Responsibilities

• • Greet all customers promptly; provides timely professional service.
• • Provides excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests, identifying service needs, resolving customer concerns, and selling additional products when appropriate.
• • Properly communicate with customers on the status of the vehicle and explain what repairs are necessary to complete issues.
• • Estimates cost and completion time and settles customer accounts.
• • Accept payment and provide a summary of repairs.
• • Obtain the customer’s written approval on all repair orders at the time of the write-up or when closing additional add-on sales.
• • Create repair orders and follow a suggested schedule to maximize shop efficiency and profitability.
• • Inspect every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing accuracy, and legibility.
• • Answer incoming phone calls promptly, courteously, and make effort to satisfy the caller’s inquiry.
• • Assists other Service Advisors when needed.
• • Ensure that work is completed on time and as requested.
• • Properly and accurately input data into CDK system.

Requirements

• • Valid driver’s license
• • Ability to work in a paced-paced environment with the ability to multitask
• • 2+ years' experience in a service or dealership environment, sales, or customer service
• • Excellent communication and writing skills
