Commercial Lending Operations Lead at Axos Bank in Remote, USA

Job description

• The Commercial Lending Operations Lead will be responsible for managing commercial equipment lease documentation and closing activities, ensuring all credit approval conditions, due diligence requirements, vendor documentation, lien clearances, insurance requirements, and funding data are completed accurately. Partners with sales, credit, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely closings, mitigate risk, and ensure a clean funding process.

Responsibilities

• Review lease documentation requests, credit approvals, purchase orders, invoices, and pricing for accuracy and completeness
• Obtain, review, and interpret third-party vendor and customer documentation to satisfy due diligence and closing requirements
• Prepare and process lease documents, maintain accurate system records, and coordinate documentation delivery
• Manage closing timelines, funding requirements, insurance verification, lien releases, and transaction booking
• Resolve exceptions, post-closing items, and system alerts within established service levels
• Independently manage workflow while coordinating with customers, vendors, sales teams, servicing agents, legal counsel, and internal partners
• Support process improvements, special projects, onboarding, training, and escalated issue resolution
• Promote strong risk management practices and deliver a high-quality customer experience

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 5+ years of experience in lease documentation, contracts, commercial lending, equipment finance, or related financial services operations
• Strong understanding of documentation, due diligence, funding, and closing processes
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
• Financial services and operational process improvement experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
• Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%
• Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%
• These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
