Job description

• Crossroads Talent Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Human Resources Data Analytics and Statistical Analyst to support the Ohio National Guard Human Resources Office. This position will turn personnel, manpower, and financial data into forecasts, models, dashboards, and briefings that help Government leaders assess their full-time workforce and resources.
• The analyst will work with Active Guard Reserve (AGR), Military Technician (MILTECH), and other Full-Time Support (FTS) data. The role calls for hands-on statistical analysis, knowledge of National Guard personnel and financial systems, and the ability to explain findings clearly to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze personnel strength, accessions, attrition, promotions, retirements, funding, obligations, and disbursements to identify trends and emerging resource needs.
• Develop and refine statistical, predictive, and optimization models for workforce planning, lifecycle forecasting, and talent management.
• Apply appropriate methods, including regression, hypothesis testing, variance analysis, and queueing theory; document assumptions, data sources, methods, and results.
• Build and maintain dashboards and performance metrics for Human Resources Office workflows, transaction volumes, processing times, and workforce trends.
• Extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze information from authorized Army and National Guard personnel, financial, and data systems.
• Prepare recurring financial and workforce analyses, leadership briefings, technical reports, and short-notice analytical products.
• Evaluate data quality and model accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and recommend improvements to analytical processes.
• Coordinate with Government personnel to understand analytical needs and present findings. Provide advisory analysis while leaving official decisions and actions to Government personnel.
• Protect sensitive information and follow applicable requirements for Government system access, privacy, training, and documentation.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of relevant experience in the core functional area or areas this position will perform.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing military personnel, manpower, workforce, or financial data in an Army or National Guard environment.
• Advanced ability to develop statistical analyses, forecasts, models, and clear recommendations from complex datasets.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas; experience with VBA or macros where needed for assigned work.
• Experience extracting and managing data using SQL and developing analytical reports or dashboards.
• Ability to write technical findings and brief senior leaders in clear, practical terms.
• Ability to meet Government suitability, background investigation, installation access, and system access requirements, including a favorable Tier 1/NACI investigation or equivalent as required for the assignment.
• Experience with AGR, MILTECH, and FTS programs; federal budget execution and PPBE; Army and National Guard personnel systems; and tools such as GFEBS, PBAS, RM Online, FTSMCS, DPRO, IPPS-A, RCMS-G, Army Vantage, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or STATA is especially relevant. Candidates should identify the systems and analytical methods they have used directly.
