• The Junior Project Manager for Marketing & Communications is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and timely execution of marketing and communications projects and initiatives across Touro University campuses.
• The position manages and coordinates workflows across digital, print, branding, publications, and communications channels, serving as a key operational partner to the Executive Director of Marketing & Communications and the broader Marketing & Communications team.The position develops a comprehensive understanding of the department's functions, processes, priorities, and workflows and uses this knowledge to assess departmental needs, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, and recommend and implement improvements.
• The position manages project scopes, timelines, deliverables, workflows, and stakeholder coordination for marketing and communications initiatives across the institution, while establishing priorities, resolving operational issues, and determining appropriate approaches to achieve departmental objectives.The position also provides administrative support to the Executive Director and department as needed, including managing calendars and meetings, supporting departmental planning, monitoring budgets and vendor invoices, and facilitating follow-up on key initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project scope, timelines, workflows, and deliverables for marketing initiatives, including campaigns, design requests, website updates, and other departmental projects.
• Serve as the central point of coordination among project teams, internal clients, stakeholders, designers, writers, and external vendors, to ensure effective project execution.
• Identify bottlenecks and operational challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend improvements to enhance team productivity; escalate obstacles or issues to leadership as appropriate.
• Track deadlines, deliverables, approvals, and competing priorities, taking appropriate action to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project documentation, production schedules, workflows, and related processes to support effective project management.
• Maintain dashboards and status reports and provide leadership with updates regarding project progress, priorities, and potential issues.
• Evaluate departmental project management needs and develop, implement, and maintain appropriate project management systems and workflows, including Basecamp or other applicable platforms.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Executive Director of Marketing & Communications, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating internal and external appointments.
• Oversee internal communication between the Executive Director, department staff, faculty partners, and administrative leadership to support departmental priorities and initiatives.
• Assist with budget tracking and departmental purchasing and manage vendor contracts and invoices, coordinating with the Purchasing department and other University departments as needed to facilitate timely payment and resolution of contract-related issues.
• Prepare meeting materials, agendas, presentations, and follow-up documentation.
• Assist in managing brand consistency across digital and print assets.
• Perform general administrative duties, including travel planning, correspondence, filing, record maintenance, and other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, administrative support, marketing operations, or a related field.
• Experience with project management tools and workflow systems such as BaseCamp or a similar platform required.
• Experience in higher education, nonprofit organizations, or marketing/communications teams.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud or similar systems (even at a basic level) preferred.
