Job description

• We are seeking a highly organized Domestic Manufacturing Project Manager or Associate Manager to oversee and coordinate projects involving domestically manufactured products, internally assembled LED systems, and fabricated sheet metal components. In this position, you will serve as the critical operational bridge connecting Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Quality, Production, Distribution, and internal manufacturing teams. By leveraging technical expertise and solution-oriented project management, you will ensure all custom assemblies and domestic orders are built to precise engineering specifications, meet strict quality standards, and are delivered on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage and track project workflows for internally manufactured parts, ensuring seamless execution across sheet metal fabrication (AMADA equipment), machining, finishing, and final assembly.
• Travel domestically (up to 15%) to inspect manufacturing facilities, witness First Article Inspections (FAI), evaluate vendor capabilities, and actively resolve critical production issues on-site
• Partner directly with the Technologies division to schedule and track specialized builds, while coordinating closely with the Sr. Director, Project Management for formal project hand-offs and milestone reviews.
• Facilitate activities across Engineering, Quotes, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, OMS, and Distribution to ensure internal accountability and on-time project completion.
• Analyze engineering drawings, BOMs, and customer requirements to resolve manufacturing challenges and ensure technical feasibility before launching production runs.
• Create, standardize, and document processes, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for domestic manufacturing projects to maintain business continuity and drive efficiency.
• Drive active communication between sales, engineering, and factory floor; maintain clear project status tracking for internal stakeholders and executive updates.
• Create, track, and present project metrics, manufacturing lead times, and quote-to-production conversion data to senior leadership.
• Communicate work orders in Production and Distribution to prioritize based on critical customer timelines, material availability, and machine capacity.
• Conduct structured project reviews and post-production follow-ups to ensure all completed assemblies match client specifications and engineering revisions.
• Assists with special operational initiatives and capital equipment integration as assigned
• Performs other project management duties as required

Requirements

• You Have a Unique Combination of Skills, Talents and Mindset, Including Many of the Following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Operations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and direct hands-on experience
• Minimum of 3–5 years of project management or production coordination experience in a technical, metal fabrication, or industrial assembly manufacturing environment
• Practical working knowledge of precision metal manufacturing, CNC sheet metal processing (AMADA press brakes, lasers, or punch presses preferred), and mechanical assembly concepts
• Experience with ERP/MRP platforms (e.g., IFS, Smart Sheets, Trello), CAD/architectural viewing software, CPQ tools (e.g., Configure One), and Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets), Microsoft Suite
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities under tight deadlines
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical situations, interpret engineering drawings, and ask thoughtful questions to deliver effective manufacturing solutions
