Senior Mobile Software Engineer (iOS / Android), Identity & Security - India at JumpCloud in Bangalore, India - Remote

Job description

• We are looking for a Senior Mobile Software Engineer with 8–12 years of native development experience to drive core features for our suite of mobile security applications—including JumpCloud Protect, Mobile Authenticator Factor Application (MAFA), and our converged Password Vault. In this role, you will architect secure, resilient mobile experiences, implement low-level system integrations (autofill, biometrics, secure storage), and collaborate with platform backend teams to protect enterprise identities worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Core Feature Delivery: Architect, build, and ship high-performance, native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) features across mobile authentication, password management, and identity verification apps.
• Security & Auth Infrastructure: Implement critical mobile security mechanisms, including Credential Provider / Autofill framework integrations, biometric authentication (FaceID/TouchID/BiometricPrompt), hardware-backed secure storage (Keychain, Keystore, Secure Enclave), and OIDC/OAuth2 authentication flows.
• Release Hygiene & Quality Ownership: Drive release pipelines for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Maintain strict UI testing coverage targets using XCTest and Espresso, while establishing mobile E2E integration test suites with core platform APIs.
• Problem solving & Troubleshooting: Active participation in the incident management process and contributing PIRs, taking ownership/accountability for a quick turn-around to resolve the incident.
• AI Adoption & Technical Leadership: Champion the BMAD framework to establish governance and structure for AI-assisted workflows (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot). Mentor engineers, conduct RFC reviews, and build shared team skill libraries.

Requirements

• Experience: 8–12 years of professional software development experience focused primarily on native mobile app delivery.
• Language Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Swift or Kotlin, with strong working knowledge or willingness to work across both platforms.
• Mobile Security & Encryption: Deep understanding of App Transport Security (ATS), network security configuration, certificate pinning trade-offs, jailbreak/root detection, and cryptography best practices.
• Testing & Automation: Hands-on experience writing unit, UI, and integration tests using XCTest, Espresso, or modern E2E automation tools.
• CI/CD & Analytics: Experience setting up mobile Continuous Integration pipelines (e.g., Bitrise, Fastlane, GitHub Actions) and leveraging crash reporting platforms (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry) for real-world telemetry and debugging.
• Networking & Protocols: Proven track record integrating RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and OIDC client libraries into reactive mobile architectures.
• Prior experience developing enterprise security, Password Vault, or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) applications.
• Production experience with native desktop extensions or cross-platform security modules.
• Cloud Technology: Experienced working with AWS & GCPcloud services
• Back-end: Experience with developing backend modules using Golang or equivalent languages.
