Job description

• Genesis10 is currently seeking a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
• Seeking a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer with deep Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise to help build a fully automated, repeatable, and scalable internal cloud platform. This role is central to creating a best-in-class, software-defined development environment that can be consistently replicated across the organization. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on experience automating and operating large-scale VCF 9.x, vSphere, Aria Suite, and NSX T environments, with a strong background in codifying infrastructure, configuration, and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Help build a fully automated, repeatable, and scalable internal cloud platform
• Codify infrastructure, configuration, and operational workflows

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with large-scale VMware environments, including: VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x, vSphere, NSX T, and Aria Suite (vRealize)
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, YAML-based declarative models)
• Experience integrating IaC into CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows
• Deep understanding of cloud platform operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate across engineering, operations, and development teams
• This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite
• Understanding of ITIL processes is a plus
• Hands on Cohesity / Netbackup / Avamar product experience
• Version Control (Git/Bitbucket)
• 5+ years of software development experience with some exposure to network programming and networking protocols
• Solid understanding of network concepts, load balancers, routing, subnets, and firewalls
