Job description

• Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
• This individual will be responsible for the end-to-end management of high-rigor, high-complexity technical projects in a fast-paced environment. The role involves leading and directing the work of technical resources, utilizing Agile Scrum methodologies and Jira tools to drive project deliverables. Projects will span a variety of domains, from reporting applications to high-availability, enterprise-wide infrastructure and security functions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the project's primary point of contact
• Establish clearly defined responsibilities and accountabilities
• Lead project execution, integration and implementation
• Define project milestones and socialize to business partners
• Ensure milestone dates are met by driving execution of tasks
• Hold resources accountable to agreed-to task completion dates
• Engage technical resources and define their scope of work
• Manage risk and mitigation planning
• Ensure change management process adherence
• Provide quality assurance ensuring that all tasks are completed as specified
• Provide timely and routine updates in Jira regarding project status, accomplishments and next steps
• Escalate project risks and issues to management
• Establish and maintain relationships with technical partners
• Manage project go-live events, which may require occasional night and weekend hours

Requirements

• Strong project leadership skills with experience managing 5-6 medium to high complexity projects concurrently
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and Agile tools (Jira)
• Ability to conduct executive presentations
• Critical thinking for remediation plans
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 10+ years of experience in Technical Project Management
• Infrastructure build experience
• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies (physical/virtual server hosting, storage, network, database, middleware, network traffic management, Network DMZ)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Excel

• Pay range: $50.39 - $58.39 per hour
