Inventory Analyst at King Ranch, Inc. in Houston, TX, United States

Responsibilities

• Partner with vendors to negotiate pricing, confirm order status, resolve discrepancies, and manage delivery timelines.
• Track product and category performance, translating sales and inventory data into clear purchasing and reorder recommendations.
• Partner with Allocation and Planning to monitor stock levels, replenishment needs, and unit flow by category and channel.
• Collaborate with Product Development/Sourcing to move products from concept through production, ensuring specifications, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Work with Vendor Partners to strengthen relationships, evaluate new opportunities, and ensure consistent execution against brand and quality standards.
• Maintain organized records and follow-up actions from vendor and cross-functional meetings.
• Manage purchase order execution, including data entry, pricing, and product categorization, ensuring accuracy across internal systems.
• Compile and prepare sales and performance reporting for leadership review, with a point of view on what the data is signaling.
• Support the Sr. Director of Merchandising in executing category strategy, ensuring product decisions align with King Ranch's positioning as a ranch, hunt, and outdoor lifestyle brand.

Requirements

• Deep experience in merchandising, buying, planning, or retail operations, ideally within Men’s Apparel and Outdoor/Hunt categories
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate sales and inventory data into actionable recommendations.
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear, professional communication and follow-through when working with vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and retail management systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Occasional travel for trade shows or vendor visits as needed.
