Job description
- We are a leading insurance defense litigation firm seeking a highly organized and detail oriented paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation and is comfortable managing a high volume caseload in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and motions
- Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Gather, review, and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case related documents
- Maintain and organize case files, discovery databases, and document productions
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed
- Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements in New Jersey State and Federal courts
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in legal studies and/or paralegal certificate required
- Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in insurance defense
- Strong knowledge of New Jersey State court rules, procedures, and e filing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prioritize, multi task, and meet deadlines in a high volume practice
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
