- In HR at LDOE our mission is to provide Human Resources guidance, support, and continuity of services from onboarding until transition. We provide ongoing support and counsel to candidates and employees alike, working every day to improve.
- We’re looking for an Administrative Program Specialist C to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in regard to training compliance, front desk customer service, as well as office and agency purchasing, while providing office support that keeps the office running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- As an Administrative Program Specialist C, you'll help create a positive first impression for every person who walks through our doors. In this role, you will:
- Greet visitors and staff with kindness and professionalism
- Answer incoming calls, route messages, and provide general information about HR services
- Coordinate office purchases and travel assistance
- Facilitate new employee orientation bi-weekly; assign and follow up with required trainings
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Support the team with everyday office tasks like data entry, filing, mail distribution, and general administrative support
Requirements
- Five years of experience in administrative services; OR
- Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR
- A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR
- An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services.
- Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
- Experience with state LaGov (SAP), SuccessFactors training(s), Customer Service
