• Salary Range
• The Business Operations Manager drives the financial viability and operational efficiency of LMM’s social enterprises – currently Metro45 Café, Catering and Food Truck with plans for expansion into new industries. The position manages the operations and daily administration of LMM’s social enterprise business including supervision of staff, business operations, optimization of workflows and developing new customers and projects to provide job training and employment opportunities for the traditionally underemployed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day business operations for Metro45 Café, Catering and Food Truck (and expanded enterprises) customer accounts, and monitor and track revenue and expenses
• Coordinate invoices, billing, and reconciliation for business activities in coordination with the Finance team
• Prepare the business budget and monitor actual profit and loss against budget
• Track and analyze operational metrics and prepare business outcome reports and recommendations for future operations
• Create and implement marketing plans in consultation with Communications team
• Consult and evaluate new job proposals; write up contracts and respond to advertised requests for proposals
• Responsible for on-the-job training and onboarding of new social enterprise employees
• Supervise staff, schedule projects and jobs, and manage logistics, daily performance, and compliance with health and safety standards
• Facilitate regular scheduled staff meetings
• Ensure quality control, customer service and satisfaction, and timely service delivery for contracted events and services
• Coordinate maintenance, equipment and supply inventory, and licensing
• Cultivate existing relationships and identify new business opportunities for the social enterprises
• Collaborate with Career Success Specialist and other workforce development staff partners to align business operations with participant training goals and employment outcomes
• Support compliance and deliverables for contracts with public agencies, corporate and nonprofit partners, and other collaborators for vocational training and employment services
• Assist in tracking and reporting participant outcomes and contract performance metrics

Requirements

• Our ideal candidate is a mission-driven business professional with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field and 3 to 5 years of proven experience managing a nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission-driven business. The candidate will bring strong business acumen, experience developing external partnerships and sales contracts, and the ability to effectively balance operational performance with LMM’s workforce development mission. A valid Ohio Driver’s License and proof of insurance are required, along with the ability to successfully pass a PREA background check.
