Job description
- Experienced, detail-driven, and ready to own treasury operations? Prime Group is looking for a Sr. Treasury Staff Accountant to manage our money market activity, credit card processes, and account reconciliations with precision and accuracy.
- The Sr. Treasury Staff Accountant will report to the Financial Operations Controller and is responsible for managing treasury operating activities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Handle all matters related to the money market accounts
- Prepare weekly proposed transfers to fund money market accounts
- Prepare reimbursement transfers from the money market to original contributors
- Ensure the money market contra accounts remain in balance at all times
- Review the booking of all money market account transactions
- Review the booking of all automatic sweep transactions in and out of the money market accounts
- Prepare the interest income schedule to allocate interest earnings to each contributor
- Review transactions in the various accounting software systems against the interest-earning schedule
- Identify, investigate, and explain in detail any discrepancies related to the money market accounts
- Serve as liaison for the operating activities of the credit cards' internal process
- Prepare and record all journal entries
- Review Balance Sheet and P&L accounts for accuracy and verify that they reconcile to the detailed GL
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Assist the Treasury Manager with any HOC reports and internal processes requested
Requirements
- 5-7 years of hands-on accounting and financial reporting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- Ability to work in an environment consisting of users with a wide range of accounting and reporting skills
- Experience with Sage 300, Mark Systems, Microsoft Office, and other accounting and financial reporting tools
- Excellent technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain highly technical concepts
- Able to function both in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
