Job description

• Cordoba is seeking an experienced Project Manager, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience of full-time professional project management . Excellent project management experience managing projects within large programs with construction values over $20M. Experience in planning, design, permitting, of educational facilities in a public works, or large commercial/healthcare environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Manages, oversees, and coordinates activities, starting with grants and funding, planning, design, permitting, and Authority Having Jurisdicition (AHJ) approval.
• Review schematics and programmatic documents and work with stakeholders to adjust project design as necessary. Submit designs to AHJ for permitting/approval.
• Plans, organizes and prepares reports to upper management with respect to the status and/or progress of the projects.
• Coordinates with all pertinent public agencies during pre-construction and construction to comply with all off-site work, and coordinates with various owner/project staff.
• Manages both the project budget and schedule during pre-construction activities; monitors project budget on a monthly basis and ensures that the design and budget are aligned. Holds architectural firm accountable to stay within budgetary constraints.
• Manages daily activities of the architect and their consultants and coordinates all aspects of the design with owner’s staff.
• Review substitution submittals from architects that deviate from owner’s design standards and/or requirements.
• Receives, reviews, and negotiates architectural Add Services and processes changes through owner’s contracts department.
• Reviews progress and monitors payments to the architects and any other pertinent pre-construction parties.
• Administers provisions of Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the owner.
• Coordinates the design of Fixtures, Furniture, and Equipment (FF&E), and assures incorporation of FF&E into final design.
• Participates in the project close-out with respect to project certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA) in K-14 educational facility, or certificate of occupancy if commercial project.
• Participates in financial close-out if applicable to both types of projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years full-time paid professional experience in Project Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction.
• Five (5) of the ten (10) years should have full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values in excess of $20M (single project).
• Proficiency in use of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SketchUp, MS Office Suite.
• Experience and knowledgeable with DSA process
• Salary Range: $155,000 to $180,000 yearly
• Location: Inland Empire, CA
