• Teal Health is changing how women screen for cervical cancer. We created the first FDA-authorized at-home cervical cancer screening experience, giving women an accurate, comfortable and convenient alternative to traditional in-office screening.
• In doing so, we created an entirely new category in women’s health. Now we are entering our next phase: making Teal synonymous with at-home cervical cancer screening and ensuring the category we created is one we continue to lead.
• We’re looking for a Head of Brand to own how Teal shows up in the world and dramatically expand how many people know, understand, trust and ultimately choose us.
• This is a strategic and highly executional leadership role with ownership of brand strategy, top-of-funnel awareness and brand growth. You’ll take the strong foundation we’ve built and make it significantly bigger through breakthrough campaigns, creative storytelling, activations, brand partnerships and an increasingly sophisticated channel strategy.
• Consumer will be at the center of this role, while ensuring Teal builds the trust and credibility needed across providers, health systems, payers, employers and other audiences that influence our growth.
• The opportunity is bigger than building name recognition. We want Teal to become the company people immediately associate with at-home cervical cancer screening and a new standard for how women’s healthcare can work.

Responsibilities

• Own Teal’s brand and category strategy, establishing Teal as the clear leader in at-home cervical cancer screening and continually sharpening what makes us meaningfully different as the market evolves and competition enters.
• Drive top-of-funnel awareness and brand growth, building the strategy to introduce millions more women to Teal and move them from awareness to understanding, trust and preference.
• Own our top-of-funnel channel mix and investment strategy across streaming and connected TV, video, audio and podcasts, creators, social, sponsorships, partnerships, OOH, experiential and emerging channels.
• Develop breakthrough integrated campaigns that make Teal impossible to miss, combining great creative, smart distribution and cultural relevance to generate attention beyond the media dollars behind them.
• Lead Teal’s creative strategy and brand storytelling, translating complex ideas around HPV, screening, accuracy and prevention into simple, memorable consumer stories.
• Create activations, partnerships and cultural moments that bring Teal into the real world, generate conversation and help make at-home screening feel mainstream.
• Build trust and credibility at scale, leveraging clinical evidence, experts, customers, creators, partners, earned media and other signals that give consumers confidence to choose something new.
• Protect and evolve the Teal brand, ensuring everything we put into the world feels distinctly Teal: human, bold, credible, empathetic and unlike traditional healthcare marketing.
• Connect brand to growth, partnering closely with Growth, Product Marketing, Communications, Lifecycle, Commercial and Product to create a connected journey from first impression through consideration and conversion.
• Own brand measurement and performance, establishing clear KPIs across awareness, consideration, trust, preference, branded search, direct and organic traffic, share of voice, brand lift and downstream growth.
• Own the brand marketing budget, determining where to make our biggest bets and continuously optimizing the balance between efficient reach and bold investments capable of changing our trajectory.
• Lead our external brand ecosystem, including creative agencies, media partners, creators, production teams, brand partners and other resources needed to execute at a high level.
• Build the brand function for Teal’s next stage, developing the processes, capabilities, measurement frameworks and team we need as Teal scales.

Requirements

• You have 10+ years of experience across brand marketing, integrated marketing, consumer marketing or related roles, ideally helping build or scale a high-growth consumer brand.
• You have built brands people recognize and remember, owned meaningful awareness budgets and channel strategies, and developed integrated campaigns across paid, owned, earned, creator, partnership and experiential channels.
• You combine exceptional creative instincts with strong commercial thinking. You understand that brand is not separate from growth and are equally comfortable talking about a big creative idea, media strategy, brand lift, consumer insight or business performance.
• You know how to introduce new ideas and behaviors to consumers and build the trust required for people to try something unfamiliar. Healthcare experience is helpful but not required. We care more about your ability to take something complex and make it simple, compelling and culturally relevant.
• You are both a builder and a doer. You can define the strategy, rally people around it and then get into the work to make it happen.
• The expected annual base salary range for this role is $160.000 – $200,000. Actual compensation within this range is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and qualifications. This position is also eligible for equity and benefits.
