Logistics Associate at OneLineage in Novi, MI (Humboldt Drive)

Job description

• Support the day-to-day transportation operations, including clerical work, order entry, planning appointments, track and trace, document scanning, and assisting Logistics Specialists in support of the overall import/export process.

Responsibilities

• Support basic customer needs by answering phones, managing email volume, and becoming familiar with customer accounts·
• Utilize transportation software to track and trace vessel and terminal schedules and generate reports for visibility
• Collaborate with Logistics Specialists and warehouse staff to achieve daily goals
• Support Logistics Specialists with planning appointments and coordinating orders
• Assist with billing every 1-3 days and ensure rates are accurate
• Research for both customer and driver documentation·
• File and scan driver documentation
• Perform basic audits to review vendor invoices to minimize discrepancies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• No prior experience is required; previous experience in a shipping or transportation coordination environment experience or relevant certification is advantageous but not necessary·
• Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
