Job description

• The Software Developer 3 supports software applications and systems by investigating, designing, documenting, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions. This position works closely with customers, product owners, end users, and service providers to understand business needs and develop effective information system solutions.
• The Software Developer 3 applies advanced technical knowledge to significant, unique, and complex software development challenges. This position develops and implements advanced concepts, techniques, and standards and is considered an expert in their field. The role requires independent judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under limited supervision toward long-range objectives.
• The Software Developer 3 works collaboratively as part of a team and may provide technical direction, leadership, training, and mentorship to other personnel. The position also fosters strong relationships with customers, peers, and service providers while identifying opportunities to improve productivity and work processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports software applications and systems by investigating, designing, documenting, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, with at least eight (8) years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with software development frameworks, source code control, application development tools, database design and management, programming languages, and component integration.
• Strong web development experience, including ASP.NET, Bootstrap, JavaScript, HTML, jQuery, and REST APIs.
• Experience with CMS, SharePoint, or web content management systems.
• Experience with UI/UX, graphic design, or web interface design.
• Experience with Node.js and modern web development technologies.
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Knowledge of hardware and operating systems, including system architectures, network infrastructures, and client-server principles.
• Experience with hardware and software integration and testing.
• Ability to understand end-to-end business and technical processes and translate business requirements into effective software solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with customers and suppliers to establish expectations, requirements, and mutual responsibilities.
• Experience gathering customer requirements and developing software solutions based on business needs.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide technical direction when appropriate.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common computer systems and software.
