Pharmacy Program Coordinator - Data Analytics - Per Diem - Remote at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, CA, United States

Responsibilities

• As a per diem remote Data Analyst Pharmacy Program Coordinator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the responsibility for providing support for pharmacy financial, operational and clinical data analytics. This position will support various Associate directors in interpreting and analyzing data results and provide ongoing reports, develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Help extract data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/complex data systems, filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs as well as improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Master's degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy is required
• Pharm.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California.
• Proven experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Working knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript etc)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Ability to apply current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principals for the selection drug products in a clinical setting.
• Ability to learn and adapt to the use of automated information systems
• Ability to develop and implement cost containment measures and new revenue sources
• Initiates and implements Medical Center and departmental resource management initiatives
• Ability to develop and implement quality control and performance improvement measures
• Ability to make recommendations, develop programs and support business operations planning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to serve as preceptor in teaching programs.
• Ability to prioritize work flow.
• Knowledge of law, regulations and standards relative to institutional pharmacy practice.
• Maintains knowledge of emerging healthcare issues relevant to pharmacy practice.
