Responsibilities

• The Distribution Inventory Control- Off Desk position is responsible for helping to manage the inventory in the Distribution Center. This position drives the process accuracy through conversation and operations that help to identify Distribution Center needs. This position communicates to the entire Distribution Center team that they are all responsible for inventory accuracy. This is a fulltime, hourly, non-exempt position.
• BEGINNING OF THE WEEK SHIFT (Sunday-Wednesday) 7:00am-5:30pm.
• Leads inventory accuracy through audits and observations
• Directs product removal through damage process
• Performs daily cycle counts and quality control checks
• Assists with product movement by operating equipment as needed
• Maintains department metrics
• Helps manage out of stocks and back to stock process
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Contributes to a clean and safe Distribution Center
• Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
• Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
• Evaluate and research daily, weekly, and monthly DC shrink
• Ensure our commitment to count every location twice a year (daily cycle counts)
• Responsible for scheduling and helping count these locations

• Research the variance report on a weekly basis
• Research substantial outbound variances
• Research adjustments that equal a pallet or greater
• Assist the buyers with hitlist (quality checks)
• Communicate with the Inventory Store Support department regarding any inventory issues that could affect the stores
• Cover Inventory Coordinator’s PTO & Call-ins within the operation
• Help work Inventory Reports to ensure accuracy
• Oldest Plates on the Dock Report
• Unlocated Report
• Hot Stage Report
• Transitional Inventory Report
• Performs other requested tasks and duties

Requirements

• What You Bring To Us
• Experience in Inventory Control field, preferred; retail experience a plus
• Experience with operating Cherry Picker/ Order Picker
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Able to perform basic arithmetic skills
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
• Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
• Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
• Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
• Possesses focused attention to detail and solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure
