Our Innovation Accelerator is seeking a seasoned project manager to lead our Alpha project, which focuses on developing an advanced energy load management device to enable electrification. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive transformative solutions and change the way PG&E innovates and grows.

Responsibilities

• Apply and adapt project management techniques to meet project goals through 2027.
• Manage multi-year projects with significant risk management and high visibility.
• Obtain commitment on detailed work plans, including schedule, cost, resources, contingency, and communication plans.
• Identify, analyze, and address project performance issues.
• Integrate vendor tasks and track vendor deliverables.
• Communicate project status to all stakeholders and assess project risk.
• Develop contingency plans and identify lessons learned and best practices.
• Ensure project objectives are achievable and manage budget tracking and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent in education and experience.
• 8 years' experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction for PG&E or 9 years if outside hire.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and maintenance.
• Specific experience with PG&E or similar electric utilities.
• Electric industry experience.
