Job description
- We are a growing multi-unit restaurant organization seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to support our team and continued expansion.
- This role will partner closely with operations and leadership to manage recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and HR administration while helping build consistent people practices across all locations.
Responsibilities
- Manage recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Support employee relations, coaching, corrective actions, investigations, and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support benefits, workers' compensation, leave administration, payroll, and timekeeping matters.
- Partner with Operations on staffing needs and employee performance.
- Assist with performance reviews, training, and leadership development.
- Support HR needs for new restaurant openings.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee communications.
- Track staffing, turnover, and other key workforce information.
Requirements
- Previous HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar experience.
- Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit experience preferred.
- Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS/payroll systems.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization.
- Ability to travel between locations as needed.
