• The Senior FP&A Project Manager works with and consolidates the work done by a team of Project Controllers serving as the primary financial managers of construction contracts. Duties include budget preparation, forecast customer billing and collections, preparing and analyzing project changes/contract variations, and partnering with Project Management and Operations to control costs and maximize revenue. The Sr. FP&A Project Manager will seek to maximize revenue, control costs, and identify risks and opportunities across the portfolio of active and prospective contracts. The Sr. FP&A Project Manager oversees monthly forecasting and annual budget preparation, and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow forecast for SSS segment. Work with FP&A, direct reports, and operations, to ensure forecasts reflect accurate and timely information and assumptions
• Support the Project Management with project objectives by analyzing contract deliverables and collaborating with project team members.
• Support leadership in documenting and executing schedule and forecast change management
• Lead Management of Change process and Monthly Sales & Operating Planning meetings
• Advise Project Management to align project decisions with larger business needs
• Along with PM, document and drive risk management on the project, tracking contingencies and opportunities
• Coordinate with management to ensure forecast is aligned with financial objectives
• Support project managers and operations with monthly project reports and analysis. Effectively communicate impacts of project changes, billing schedule changes, etc. to influence good business decisions
• Oversee, prepare and present reports on portfolio financial performance (project P&L, variance analysis, billing/collections, etc.)
• Support financial audits of assigned project(s)
• Manage/assist on other financial-related aspects of the projects (insurance, tax, performance guarantees, etc.)
• Suggest and lead process improvement initiatives
• Consistently ensures that business is always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with SubCom policies, procedures, and core values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration or accounting/finance required
• 10+ years of accounting or related experience
• Long Term Contract accounting experience required
• Supervisory experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Oracle ERP a plus
• Highly self-motivated, quick and agile learner
• Must be analytical and intuitive
• Strong oral and written communications skills both lateral and vertical
• Comfortable asking questions and challenging the status quo
• Ability to adjust to change and also facilitate process change
• Able to take ownership and responsibility, drive results, and effectively influence others
• Capable of building effective relationships
• High standard of integrity and attention to details a must
• International and domestic travel to support projects as needed.
