Human Resource Recruiting Supervisor at PIPESTONE in Long Island, KS

Job description

• The Human Resources Recruiting Supervisor leads and expands the company’s recruiting efforts across its swine production operations. This position will develop and execute strategic recruiting initiatives designed to attract, identify, and retain high-quality candidates for production, management, and support positions.
• The Recruiting Supervisor will serve as a key ambassador for the company within the agricultural community, building awareness of who we are, what we do, and the career opportunities available within the swine industry. This position will build relationships with schools, colleges, agricultural organizations, community groups, workforce development agencies, and other talent sources to create a strong, sustainable candidate pipeline.
• In addition to recruiting, this role will help strategically place employees into positions that align with their skills, experience, career interests, and the operational needs of the business. The Recruiting Supervisor will also promote internal career opportunities and advancement pathways to encourage employee development and retention.

Responsibilities

• · Develop and execute proactive recruiting strategies for swine production, farm management, and other operational positions
• · Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated workforce needs
• · Develop creative recruiting campaigns that reach candidates both within and outside of traditional agricultural recruiting channels.
• · Screen applicants, conduct initial interviews, assess qualifications, and coordinate the candidate selection process with hiring managers.
• · Partner with farm and operational leadership to understand staffing needs, turnover trends, skill requirements, and anticipated workforce demands.
• · Work with managers and supervisors to understand the strengths, experience, skills, and career interests of current employees
• · Help recognize and promote employees who demonstrate leadership potential, strong performance, reliability, and a commitment to the company's values.
• · Serve as a visible representative and ambassador for the company within local agricultural and surrounding communities.
• · Develop relationships with high schools, community colleges, universities, agricultural programs, FFA chapters, 4-H organizations, workforce development programs, and community organizations.
• · Develop presentations and recruiting materials that communicate the company's mission, culture, career opportunities, benefits, advancement opportunities, and role in the agricultural industry.
• · Provide regular updates to leadership regarding recruiting activity, candidate availability, staffing challenges, and emerging workforce trends.
• · Maintain confidentiality and handle candidate and employee information appropriately.
• · Ensure recruiting activities are conducted consistently with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, Agriculture, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• · Farm background with swine experience preferred
• · Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
• · Effective time management to meet deadlines
• · Detail-oriented
• · Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
• · Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines is required.
