Job description

• As a Product Marketing Manager for Google Classroom, you will drive the global product marketing strategy, positioning, and cross-functional go-to-market execution for Google's flagship learning platform, Google Classroom. Google Classroom has rapidly evolved from a foundational workflow tool into an advanced, premium learning platform that uses generative AI to unlock new ways of teaching and learning. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the product narrative, advocating for educators and school leaders, and executing go-to-market strategies that accelerate customer consideration, retention, and support business goals across the Education Unit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of global positioning, value propositions, and core messaging frameworks, crafting visionary product keynotes that connect roadmaps to industry trends to position Google Classroom as an innovative platform within the Google ecosystem.
• Own end-to-end GTM strategies for new features including AI capabilities, managing activations across channels, Edu marketing, keynotes, sales enablement, and product demos.
• Partner closely with Product Management and UX to incorporate educator, student, and admin insights into early-stage product definitions and roadmap prioritization.
• Collaborate with PR, Communications, and Legal teams to establish transparent, trust-centered messaging around sensitive topics, including student data privacy, pedagogical efficacy, and administrative AI controls.
• Direct external creative agencies and production partners while driving Google Classroom's messaging, storytelling, and presence across major education milestones and tentpole moments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 6 years of experience in a product marketing role or marketing communications role.
• Experience in EdTech or education-focused SaaS platforms.
• Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience creating B2B marketing content or messaging for IT decision-makers.
• Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to solve complex, multi-layered problems and streamline business or development workflows.
• Experience developing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for generative AI features, with the ability to synthesize industry trends, market intelligence, and research into marketing strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience translating complex technical functionality into simple, trust-building value propositions for decision-makers and end-users.
• Familiarity navigating education decision-maker and institutional procurement dynamics.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced environment, drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision, and adapt quickly to changing business needs.

Benefits

• Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
• US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
