• Every day, millions of people come to YouTube to research and discover new products. We provide tools that enable creators to make their videos shoppable, connecting them with amazing products and deals to share with their audiences. As globally, information consumption is moving from text to video, YouTube Shopping will bring immersive and informative shopping experiences to life, from the living room to the mobile phone.
• As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead a portfolio of strategic, complex, multidisciplinary programs that significantly accelerate the business impact of YouTube Shopping. You will direct program strategy and lead program teams that support our large global team of Software Engineers and Program Managers to successfully deliver on our Google-level metrics to scale the YouTube Shopping affiliate program.

Responsibilities

• Optimize execution processes to accelerate software delivery, manage relationships with executive stakeholders across YouTube and Google to drive alignment.
• Refine our portfolio strategy to address complex changing circumstances, leading by example on adopting AI to increase productivity.
• Ensure our Technical Program Manager (T/PgMs) in San Bruno, Zurich, and Bangalore are supported and challenged to do their best work; making tough prioritization calls on T/PgM allocations to maximize impact. Cultivating a culture that makes YouTube Shopping everyone's favorite team to work on.
• Understand the business context to make informed decisions that are aligned with the business priorities; being an opinionated participant in leadership forums to set the overall strategy for our team.
• Support our executive Directors of Engineer and Product Manager in running effective teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in program or project management.
• 7 years of experience in a leadership role.
• 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in leading and managing complex, cross-product area or cross-Google software development programs.
• Experience in e-commerce, social media, video advertising.
• Ability to drive programs through ambiguity and influence technical decisions across multiple organizations.
• Exceptional planning and communication skills, with the ability to inform decisions and align dependencies across executive stakeholders.
