- Pride Health is hiring a Local Medical Laboratory Scientist - to support our client's healthcare team in Irving, TX.
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen processing, testing, and analysis per laboratory SOPs.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Review, verify, and release accurate patient results.
- Complete QC, calibration, maintenance, and testing documentation.
- Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety standards.
- Process proficiency testing samples according to protocols.
- Troubleshoot testing issues and escalate as needed.
- Report STAT and critical results per department procedures.
- Maintain reagent, test kit, and inventory logs.
- Participate in training, audits, inspections, and quality initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Provide professional support to clients and internal teams.
Requirements
- ASCP or AMT certification/eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
- Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or Laboratory Science
- Must meet 42 CFR 493.1433 qualifications
- High-complexity clinical lab experience if required based on degree
- National/state licensure, if applicable
- IERF credential evaluation for foreign-educated candidates
- Official transcripts for U.S.-educated candidates
- Experienced Hematology Technologists preferred.
