• We are looking for a data-driven, detail-oriented Digital Marketing Intern to join our team at Siemens, Asset Management Software. We provide industry-leading solutions that help organizations automate work orders, manage preventive maintenance, and leverage predictive modelling for long-term capital planning.
• Digital marketing is our primary engine for marketing pipeline growth. In this role, you won't just be "helping out"—you will be an active participant in executing high-impact Paid Media campaigns and optimizing our SEO/AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategy to ensure our software is the first choice for maintenance and operations leaders. This internship is designed to give you the opportunity to experience digital marketing, demand generation, and marketing operations.

Responsibilities

• Working in a dynamic environment, which means our projects are constantly changing. Examples of projects you could expect during your time at Siemens include:
• Paid Campaign Execution Support
• Campaign Setup: Assist in the build-out of Paid Search (Google Ads) and Paid Social (LinkedIn, Meta) campaigns, including drafting ad copy, building audiences, and setting up tracking parameters.
• Keyword Research: Perform ongoing keyword discovery and expansion to identify new opportunities for reaching maintenance and operations professionals.
• Performance Monitoring: Help track daily spend and performance metrics (Marketing Qualified Leads, Opportunities, Pipeline), identifying trends to improve Cost Per Lead (CPL).
• Creative Coordination: Work with the team to ensure ad creatives and landing pages are aligned with campaign goals.
• SEO & AEO Optimization
• On-Page SEO: Update metadata, headers, and internal linking structures to improve organic rankings for core maintenance software keywords.
• AEO Strategy: Assist in optimizing content for "Answer Engines" and AI-driven search by structuring data and FAQs to capture featured snippets.
• Content Audits: Review existing website content to identify gaps or outdated information that could impact search visibility.
• Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor digital footprints to identify new SEO tactics and content themes.
• Digital Experience & Conversion Optimization (CRO)
• Website Management: Assist in updating landing pages and website content to ensure a seamless user journey from "click to lead."
• Conversion Rate Optimization Testing Support: Help execute A/B tests on high-traffic pages, focusing on improving performance and form completion rates.
• Interactive Product Tours: Support the enhancement of interactive product tours, ensuring they effectively showcase our software’s capabilities.
• User Behavior Analysis: Use tools like heatmaps or session recordings to identify friction points and suggest data-backed improvements.
• Cross-Functional Marketing Support
• Events & Webinars: Assist with digital promotion for webinars and industry trade shows, including lead list management and post-event follow-up coordination.
• Marketing Operations: Support the team with data hygiene tasks and basic reporting within our marketing tech stack to ensure accurate lead routing.
• Integrated Campaigns: Provide administrative and creative support for larger marketing initiatives, helping coordinate assets between the internal team and external agencies.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate is curious, high energy, and likes solving problems. We are looking for candidates that are:
• Rising seniors (Fall 2027 or Spring 2028), preferably majoring in Business, Marketing, or Communications
• A desire for a career in marketing with an interest in software or digital strategy
• Comfortable and proficient with MS Office
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Able to be in the Raleigh office at least one day per week

• Experience with data analysis through coursework or projects; you enjoy looking at data to see what is working and what isn’t
• Ability to manage multiple small projects and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with (or a hunger to learn) Google Ads, LinkedIn Advertising, Meta Ads, GA4, and SEO tools (e.g., SEMRush, Google Search Console)
• Ability to write clear, concise copy for ads and webpages

Benefits

• The hourly pay range for this position $25 - $29 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
