Job description
- RATE RANGE: $110-$120/hr
Responsibilities
- Program breadth & multi-workstreams
- Maintain live awareness of every asset in production across all workstreams — stage, owner, blocker, and launch date — and keep a single source of truth others can rely on.
- Run multiple creative batches concurrently at different phases (briefing, concept review, feedback consolidation, approvals, launch) without dropping threads.
- Hold quality and brand consistency steady as volume scales.
- Agency & internal team oversight
- Oversee the external creative agency / production partner and the internal creative team in parallel, holding both to timeline, deliverables, and quality bar.
- Partner with Marketing to brief the agency, drive concept reviews, and manage the feedback loop to a decision.
- Manage overall scope across external partner and internal workstreams, and surface scope changes and overage to the In-App Marketing team.
- Note: this role does not sign contracts, statements of work, or scope documents.
- Contract execution is owned by the In-App Marketing team. This role provides the scoping guidance and inputs, delivery tracking, and reconciliation that those documents depend on.
- Production partnership & resourcing
- Partner directly with the Production lead to resource the team correctly — staffing and scoping work accurately, and flexing team composition as business needs shift.
- Co-own and document roles and responsibilities across program management and production so ownership boundaries are explicit and handoffs are clean.
- Identify resourcing gaps and risk early, before they become delivery slips.
- Content strategy
- Partner on content strategy for the program, not just execute against it — translate business and product priorities into a coherent content plan.
- Partner with Marketing/Brand, Product, and Comms stakeholders, and translate leadership direction (including guidance from WhatsApp leadership) into actionable creative briefs.
- Shape audience-specific creative direction as priorities evolve.
- Budget support
- Maintain the program's budget picture: track spend against scope by workstream, reconcile actuals, and forecast remaining-year needs.
- Flag billing discrepancies and make trade-off recommendations when funding is constrained.
- Escalation & decision ownership
- Act as the escalation point for the PGM managing ongoing execution: resolve stalled reviews, break feedback deadlocks, and arbitrate competing priorities.
- Consolidate conflicting stakeholder input into one clear decision and communicate it back quickly so production keeps moving.
- Escalate upward with a recommendation, not just a problem.
- Process & continuity
- Define and document the program's operating cadence, intake, and approval paths.
- Maintain coverage plans and handoff documentation so the program runs uninterrupted during absences.
- Onboard new team members and agency partners onto the program's surfaces, process, and standards.
Requirements
- Agency background required — experience at the Account Director or senior Account Supervisor level. Ideally exposure to both large agencies and smaller, digital-first shops.
- Deep experience in high-volume content production: social assets, editorial content, and always-on campaigns.
- Proven track record sustaining that volume over time — not one-off launches or campaign bursts.
- Experience leading a small team producing a high volume of assets on a sustained cadence.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee an external agency / production partner and an internal creative team simultaneously.
- Resource management experience: staffing and scoping projects accurately, and adjusting team composition as needs change.
- Comfortable owning content strategy and translating business priorities into a content plan.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to be the decision-maker in a room of conflicting feedback.
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities from senior leadership.
- Experience with in-app / in-product marketing surfaces at consumer scale, as opposed to paid media only.
- Familiarity with WhatsApp or another large messaging product and its user-facing surfaces.
- Experience partnering with product teams on feature-launch communications.
- Category experience in automotive, retail, or Client.
- Background supporting audience-specific creative strategy (e.g. Gen Z / Gen Alpha inclusive creative).
