• We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and market share within the enterprise structured cabling and connectivity industry. This role blends strategic account management with new business development and focuses on expanding Molex's engagement with enterprise end users, contractors, consultants, distributors, system integrators, and other key industry stakeholders.
• The successful candidate will inherit established customer relationships while building a strong pipeline of target accounts and identifying new opportunities for growth. This highly strategic position requires a well-developed industry network, deep market expertise, and the ability to create long-term value through trusted customer partnerships.
• This remote position is responsible for a strategic Central U.S. territory covering 13 states across the Midwest, Great Lakes, Great Plains, and South-Central regions. The territory offers exposure to some of the nation's most significant enterprise infrastructure, network modernization, and data center expansion opportunities. Travel throughout the territory of up to 50% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts while developing and executing a strategic growth plan across the territory.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of target accounts, focusing on converting opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with enterprise end users, contractors, consultants, distributors, and system integrators.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within enterprise structured cabling, connectivity, and network infrastructure markets.
• Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers across technical, procurement, and executive leadership teams.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by providing insights on enterprise infrastructure trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, and supply chain teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Leverage market intelligence and customer insights to influence commercial strategy and uncover growth opportunities.
• Represent Molex at customer meetings, industry events, and trade organizations.
• Conduct regular business reviews and account planning activities to support customer success and long-term growth.

Requirements

• Experience selling copper and fiber structured cabling, connectivity, network infrastructure, data center infrastructure, or related enterprise technology solutions.
• Demonstrated success growing strategic accounts and developing new customer relationships.
• Proven ability to build relationships and generate business with enterprise customers, contractors, consultants, distributors, and system integrators.
• Experience managing sales pipelines, territory plans, and account growth strategies.
• Ability to communicate technical and commercial value propositions to a variety of audiences.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned territory.
• Existing relationships and active engagement within the enterprise structured cabling, connectivity, or data center industry.
• Demonstrated success converting industry relationships into new business opportunities.
• Experience working for a manufacturer or distributor serving the enterprise connectivity market.
• Enterprise sales experience involving data center, structured cabling, connectivity, or network infrastructure solutions.
• Experience influencing specifications through consultants, engineers, or design firms.
• Experience selling into large enterprise organizations, colocation providers, or data center operators.
• Proven track record of exceeding territory growth objectives.
• RCDD certification.
• Strong understanding of channel, distribution, and partner sales models.
• Established network of customers, consultants, contractors, and industry influencers.

• For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $190,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
