Staff Financial Analyst, DeviceCo at Hanger in US-TX-Austin

Job description

• The Staff Financial Analyst will work closely with the Finance Manager and DeviceCo business leaders to understand financial and operational performance, identify key business drivers, and provide timely, accurate analysis to support decision-making. The role will support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, management reporting, and business performance analysis across the three businesses.
• This role is well suited for an analytical, highly motivated, and intellectually curious individual who is eager to learn, take ownership, and grow within finance. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to dig into data, ask thoughtful questions, and develop a deep understanding of the businesses they support.
• This is an on-site role based in Austin, TX. Employees may work from home up to 12 days per quarter as business needs allow.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis across DeviceCo.
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis across revenue, cost of materials, operating expenses, and profitability.
• Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers.
• Support consolidated DeviceCo reporting across Fillauer, Coapt, and Point Designs.
• Develop and maintain financial models supporting profitability, pricing, margins, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with Monthly Business Reviews, Budget Reviews, and other leadership presentations.
• Partner with the Finance Manager and business leaders to support ad hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Marketing, IT, Corporate Finance, and business teams.
• Support improvements to financial processes, reporting, and analytical tools across DeviceCo.
• Partner with Accounting to help ensure financial results accurately reflect operational performance and comply with company policies and controls.
• Travel 10% to 20% of the time.

Requirements

• ​​
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related business field required.
• 1–3 years of relevant finance, accounting, or analytical experience; recent college graduates with strong academic performance and relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong Excel skills and an interest in developing advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, or data analysis through coursework, internships, or professional experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Epicor, Essbase, or similar is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work through complex problems.
• High level of intellectual curiosity, initiative, and motivation to develop a strong understanding of the business.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
