• The Senior Tax Analyst will support the Company’s tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities with greater involvement in state and local tax and indirect tax compliance. This position will assist with tax filings, workpapers, tax provision support, audits, research, and tax-related projects while working closely with internal teams and external tax advisors. The role will also monitor tax law and regulatory developments, summarize potential business impacts, and support process improvements within the tax function. We are looking for a detail-oriented team player who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative tax team.

Responsibilities

• Support federal and state income/franchise tax compliance and reporting activities, including preparation of workpapers, extensions, estimated payments, and supporting documentation.
• Support state income tax matters, including nexus, apportionment, state modifications, and monitoring of state tax law developments that may impact the company’s operations.
• Support indirect and local tax compliance processes, including sales and use tax, property tax, gross receipts tax, exemption certificates, tax registrations, and other state and local tax filings.
• Conduct tax research and prepare initial analysis of federal, state, local, and indirect tax developments to assess potential impact on the business.
• Support tax audits and inquiries from federal, state, and local taxing authorities by gathering information, preparing supporting documentation, and coordinating responses with internal teams and external advisors.
• Assist with income tax provision and tax-related financial reporting.
• Work closely with internal teams and external advisors to gather and analyze tax data, prepare workpapers, and support the timely and accurate completion of tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve work processes, reporting, documentation, and controls, and assist in implementing process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and organized tax records, workpapers, and supporting documentation to facilitate compliance, audits, and reviews.
• Perform other tax-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of state and local tax matters, including income/franchise tax, sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, and property tax.
• Solid knowledge of corporate and/or partnership tax. Experience with tax equity partnerships is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Renewable energy and technology industry experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English & Korean) is a plus.
