• The Deposit Operations Specialist I supports accurate, time-sensitive, deposit operations processing to help protect the Bank, meet regulatory requirements, and deliver consistent customer service. Key responsibilities include daily account/customer maintenance across multiple bank systems; validating customer and product data entered to the core; quality control review of accounts booked; placing and verifying stop payments requests; reviewing system reports for correct coding, posting, and account function; producing external notices/letters; completing external research requests within expected timeframes; supporting phones, document recording, filing, and imaging; documenting workflow procedures; backing up other departmental functions and completing required training.

Responsibilities

• Perform various account/customer maintenance using multiple bank systems
• Verification of the maintenance performed within the department and account booking
• Placement and verification of Stop Payment requests into Bank systems daily
• Review of system reports for proper coding, account function and posting
• As a Deposit Operations Specialist I, your day is structured around daily deadlines and accuracy checkpoints. You start by reviewing queues and system reports, then compare information across screens and reports to confirm customer and product details match what is recorded on the core. Throughout the day, you move between multiple bank systems, documenting what you've completed and double-checking work for proper coding and posting. When stop payment items or external research requests arrive, you prioritize them, complete the needed entries, and confirm results before closing them out. You also spend time preparing outbound notices or letters, organizing and imaging documentation for retention, and coordinating with teammates when questions come in by phone. As priorities shift, you help with coverage and progress workflow documentation, so the team stays consistent and compliant.

Requirements

• 1–3 years' experience in accounting/bookkeeping, data entry, and reconciling between at least two reports
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent job-related education/experience)
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, and attention to detail; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Personal mobile device available for system sign-in and emergency procedures
