• Role at a glance
• Mactores is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and an Anthropic partner. Our delivery credentials are strong, but our public brand hasn't caught up. Our social channels don't reflect the work we deliver, we get little press coverage, and our client review presence is thin and poorly rated.
• We're hiring one person to change that and own it end to end. You'll grow how Mactores is seen and talked about across social media, press, influencer and creator partnerships, and review platforms. You'll be building from near zero, but not from a blank page. There's a defined US market, a positioning source of truth and a working budget. You'll have the authority to plan and execute against them.
• Social growth among the right audience: engagement rate, reach, share of voice against named competitors, and inbound conversations started from social.
• Executive advocacy: how many leaders post consistently, and the reach and engagement they earn.
• Influencer and creator campaigns delivered, and the reach, engagement and pipeline influence they generate.
• Earned media: coverage, interviews, podcast slots and bylines landed, and the quality of the outlets.
• Brand sentiment, response time on public mentions, and client review count and rating against staged targets.
• Awards earned.
• Budget discipline: what was bought, what was skipped, and whether the reasoning held up.
• Programme hygiene: tracker current, deadlines never missed silently, blockers raised early.

Responsibilities

• Social media strategy and content. Running the Mactores presence on LinkedIn, X and YouTube, plus any new channel you can make a case for. You'll own the editorial calendar and write the social copy. You'll also brief designers and video editors, and publish consistently in formats that perform on each platform.
• Executive and employee advocacy. Building the personal brands of our leadership and delivery experts. That means ghostwriting in their voice, making it easy for them to post, and turning our engineers into credible voices in the conversations our buyers follow.
• Influencer and creator collaborations. Finding and vetting B2B tech creators, cloud and AI practitioners, podcast hosts and newsletter writers our buyers trust. You'll negotiate partnerships, brief them, manage delivery and measure the results.
• PR and media relations. Building relationships with journalists and editors covering enterprise tech, pitching stories, and landing coverage, interviews, podcast slots and bylines. You'll also write press releases for launches, partnerships and client wins.
• Community management and social listening. Responding to comments and mentions, tracking brand, competitor and industry conversations, and spotting openings for Mactores to join them.
• Reputation and reviews. Monitoring public sentiment and handling complaints or negative coverage calmly and quickly. You'll also run a disciplined client review programme on Google, Clutch and G2 with our delivery team.
• Awards and recognition. Finding the awards worth entering, and writing and submitting entries on time.
• Partner co-marketing. Running social and PR co-promotion with AWS and Anthropic alongside our alliance lead, including joint announcements, partner events and amplification.
• Events and live moments. Covering AWS re:Invent, industry conferences, webinars and Mactores events live on social, and turning them into content and press opportunities.
• Budget. Deciding where a modest annual budget goes across creators, sponsorships, boosted posts and awards, and defending each decision.
• The programme itself. Running a weekly cadence, keeping the tracker and Jira current, and flagging blockers early rather than quietly.

Requirements

• This is the substance of the role. We are hiring for this list, not for a job title.
• Review programme operations. You know how star-rating math actually works, what review volume a B2B buyer needs before they trust a rating, and how to run a client review ask that converts. You know each platform’s rules cold, including what Google will and will not remove, why Clutch verifies by phone and why G2 rank cannot be bought, and you have never solicited a review in a way that breaks them.
• Directory and profile management at scale. You can build and maintain dozens of third-party profiles without drift, and you understand how directory ranking algorithms weight reviews, completeness and paid tiers.
• Award and analyst submission writing. You can write to a judging rubric using evidence, outcomes and numbers rather than adjectives, and complete an analyst questionnaire or vendor briefing without overclaiming.
• Pitch writing and media relationships. You can write an email a busy editor replies to, build relationships with journalists covering enterprise tech, and land guest placements on high-authority publications.
• Judgement on paid versus earned. You can tell the difference between a judged credential and a pay-to-play listicle, you understand FTC native-advertising labelling, and you can argue for spending money on the first and not the second.
• Local SEO and Google Business Profile. Claiming, verification including video verification, multi-location eligibility rules, review handling across locations, and recovering a suspended profile.
• Entity and knowledge graph literacy. Wikidata, Wikipedia notability standards, and how structured entity data feeds Google’s Knowledge Panel and AI answer engines.
• SEO fundamentals. Domain authority, referring domains, do-follow versus no-follow, anchor text strategy, and why a link is worth having.
• Messaging discipline. You will work from a single positioning source of truth and keep thirty profiles saying the same thing. Consistency here matters more than creativity.
• Programme and budget management. Running a multi-workstream calendar against fixed external deadlines, tracking spend against allocation, and coordinating people who do not report to you across delivery, alliances, finance and legal.
• Enterprise tech literacy. You do not need to be an engineer, but you must be able to hold a credible conversation about cloud, data and AI with a technology editor or an industry analyst.
• Self-direction. Parallel threads, hard external deadlines, no supervision.
• Experience marketing an AWS, Azure or GCP partner, or a B2B services firm selling into US enterprises.
• Existing relationships with enterprise tech journalists, podcast hosts or B2B creators.
• A track record of building a founder or executive personal brand on LinkedIn.
• Basic design and short-form video skills (Canva, Figma, CapCut or equivalents).
• Hands-on experience with Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brand24, Muck Rack, Cision, Taplio or equivalents.
• Comfort with Jira, or a clear willingness to learn it quickly.
