Overview
Procure supplies, materials, equipment, and services required to support Center program operation in accordance with Center contract requirements, Corporate objectives and government policies Make purchases in a reasonable time frame for efficient Center operation
Responsibilities
- Procure supplies, materials, equipment, and services required to support Center program operation in accordance with Center contract requirements, Corporate objectives and government policies
- Make purchases in a reasonable time frame for efficient Center operation
- Ensure that procurement is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, Department Of Labor Acquisition Standards, Office of Management and Budget Circulars, and Executive Orders
- Maintain working library on rules and regulations for sub-contracting, property compliance, and equipment purchasing
- Maintain professional memberships
- Use the Small Business Administration as a prime source for locating new vendors
- Ensure that Center goals for using small, woman owned, small disadvantage and hub zone businesses are met
- Verify that new vendors are financially sound with an ability and good reputation for supplying materials and /or services
- Create and maintain database of business supplies and vendors using on-line sources
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Four years of purchasing experience preferable
- Knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is highly desirable
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or four years purchasing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
