• Production & Purchasing Associate
• Join Riverhead Building Supply, a leading building materials company with over 800 employees across Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
• Production & Purchasing Associate -We are looking for a detail-oriented Production/Purchasing Associate to support the planning, purchasing, and production of millwork, interior doors, and molding products , ensuring materials, inventory, and vendor relationships are effectively managed.
• For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $27.00 - $35.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

• • Support the purchasing, planning, and production of custom millwork, interior doors, and molding products within our manufacturing facility.
• • Procure raw materials, components, and finished goods to meet production schedules and inventory requirements.
• • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory and production reports.
• • Coordinate with vendors on pricing, lead times, product availability, and delivery schedules.
• • Issue and track purchase orders to ensure materials are received on time and production remains on schedule.
• • Partner with manufacturing teams to support efficient workflow, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• • Build strong vendor relationships while identifying cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
• • Experience with millwork manufacturing, interior door production, molding operations, or related building materials is a plus .

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of purchasing, inventory, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of doors, millwork products, and related building materials.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
