- The Project Manager, Program Management – SAP S/4HANA Business Transformation, supports a multi-year, enterprise SAP S/4HANA business transformation by coordinating a portfolio of initiatives across Business Owners, SAP/IT teams, and third-party partners. This role focuses on end-to-end Supply Chain capabilities. Operating within the Transformation Management Office (TMO), this role ensures initiatives are aligned to business priorities, governed consistently, integrated across workstreams, and supported by strong business readiness and adoption planning. This role acts as a connector between strategy and execution, providing portfolio-level visibility, dependency management, and readiness coordination — without owning wave-level deployment delivery.
- This is a high-visibility role offering substantial leadership exposure across the transformation program, connected to the Skyline Project: a major SAP S/4HANA business transformation and OCM initiative currently midway through the build phase. This is a strategic program leader focus — not a tactical day-to-day PM task-tracking role in Jira.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Planning & Governance
- Maintain the transformation portfolio plan, spanning Business readiness projects and SAP activities including initiative sequencing, dependencies, milestones, and key risks with specific focus on Supply Chain and cross-process dependencies.
- Support intake, prioritization, and scope governance aligned to transformation strategy and value drivers.
- Ensure initiatives comply with defined governance, stage gates, and decision frameworks.
- Prepare executive-ready materials for Steering Committees and portfolio reviews.
- Business Owner & Process Owner Engagement
- Partner with Business Owners and Enterprise Process Owners to clarify objectives, scope, success measures, and decision ownership across Supply Chain business processes.
- Build EPO and business participation plans with EPO's, Deployment, Change and Training Lead. Track business participation commitments and identify capacity or engagement risks.
- Support cross-functional alignment when priorities or dependencies conflict.
- SAP / IT Coordination
- Work closely with SAP, Data and IT teams to align business priorities with technical delivery plans and release sequencing.
- Provide visibility into SAP delivery progress, risks, and dependencies impacting business readiness.
- Ensure integration across process, data, reporting, and technology considerations at the portfolio level.
- Third-Party / System Integrator Coordination
- Coordinate with System Integrators and third-party partners to ensure alignment to Supply Chain portfolio priorities and program governance standards.
- Track high-level partner deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
- Support issue escalation and reinforce expectations for quality, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Business Readiness & Adoption Support
- Coordinate enterprise-level business readiness activities, including readiness baselining, planning, milestone tracking, and participation in design, testing, and training.
- Partner with Data, Change, Training, and Communications leads to align readiness activities across initiatives.
- Identify and escalate readiness risks related to timing, capacity, or adoption.
- Risk, Dependency & Value Tracking
- Maintain a portfolio-level view of risks, issues, and cross-initiative dependencies.
- Support tracking of business benefits, KPIs, and value realization.
- Shift reporting from task completion to business capability and outcome visibility.
- Program Leadership
- Connect all core program tracks, drive cross-functional alignment, and exert high-level influence.
- Proactively identify/raise risks to the Program Office and leadership while tracking build and testing workflows.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes.
- Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and readiness risks.
- Direct experience supporting Supply Chain business processes in an SAP environment.
- Broad understanding of supply chain as it relates to SAP implementation.
- Drive cross-functional resolutions.
- Understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Understanding of the business process side.
- Includes areas like manufacturing, maintenance, warehouse, and transportation.
- Integration between Planning and Source to Pay.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8 years project/program management experience, including 3–5 years supporting SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA) transformations with focus on Supply Chain.
- Experience working with business leaders, IT teams, and system integrators.
- Hands-on SAP implementation experience (functional, non-technical background).
- Deep supply chain and operations expertise (manufacturing, maintenance, warehousing, and procurement dependencies).
- Integrator and orchestrator: Connects strategy to execution across functions, SAP and third parties.
- Proactively risk-focused: Anticipates dependencies and readiness issues before they become delivery problems.
- Business-first operator: Prioritizes adaptations, readiness, and outcomes over task completion.
- Influence without authority: Drives alignment and progress through collaboration, clarity, and credibility.
- Steward of program integrity: Takes ownership of accuracy, consistency, and discipline in reporting, tracking, and governance artifacts to ensure leaders are working from a single, trusted source of truth.
- Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.
