• Role: BI Solution Analyst
• Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
• Work Model: Hybrid, 2 days per week at Pleasant Prairie office location
• Employment Type: Contract or Fulltime (Visa sponsorship is not available for this job)
• Duration: 12 months
• The Business Intelligence Solution Analyst is responsible for partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and translate business reporting and data requirements into scalable analytics and reporting solutions. This role requires strong analytical thinking, SQL expertise, data warehousing knowledge, and the ability to navigate complex data ecosystems.
• The ideal candidate will be a self-driven professional who can independently analyze business needs, document requirements, trace data lineage, and provide effective solutions that support enterprise reporting and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical data requirements.
• Translate business reporting needs into actionable solution designs and technical specifications.
• Develop comprehensive analysis documentation including scope definitions, business requirements, functional specifications, and source-to-target mappings.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting objectives and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation strategies.
• Data Analysis & Reporting Solutions
• Analyze complex datasets and reporting requirements to deliver effective BI solutions.
• Trace data from source systems through transformation layers to reporting and analytics platforms.
• Perform data lineage analysis to validate data accuracy and integrity.
• Support reporting modernization initiatives by reverse engineering existing business logic and legacy reporting processes.
• Partner with development teams to ensure successful delivery of reporting and analytics solutions.
• Technical & Data Warehousing
• Utilize advanced SQL skills to perform data analysis, troubleshooting, validation, and reporting support.
• Apply data warehousing concepts and best practices to support enterprise reporting solutions.
• Support data modeling and ETL initiatives to improve data accessibility and usability.
• Analyze data structures, relationships, and transformations to support reporting requirements.
• Investigate and resolve data-related issues across reporting environments.
• Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Effectively communicate findings, risks, recommendations, and priorities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrate critical thinking when evaluating requirements and proposed solutions.
• Challenge assumptions and recommend alternative approaches when appropriate.
• Proactively identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and project roadblocks.
• Build strong working relationships across business and technology teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, Solution Analysis, or related disciplines.
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and reporting architectures.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Experience creating source-to-target mappings and data lineage documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to think beyond immediate requests.
• Experience collaborating with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Experience with Informatica.
