Job description

• Anduril is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer, Fuel Systems to join the Maneuver Dominance team at our Costa Mesa HQ to own integration and test of the fuel system for Omen, an advanced Group 3 VTOL tail-sitting aircraft. This individual will own fuel system integration testing across increasingly mature environments, from component bench tests through full vehicle ground test, and will support the vehicle-level mass properties test program by defining and planning the fuel-system-specific inputs needed to account for the effects of fuel state and vehicle orientation on weight, center of gravity, and moments of inertia. This is a hands-on, build-and-run role suited to someone who wants to own a test campaign end to end: requirements, fixturing, execution, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own all fuel system integration and test activities from component bench tests through full vehicle ground test, including tanks, pumps, valves, fluid lines, sensors, and dispense sequencing, developing right-sized test plans and efficiently capturing and reporting learnings as inputs to design
• Define and plan the fuel-system-specific requirements, measurement approach, and instrumentation needed to characterize vehicle weight, center of gravity, and moments of inertia, supporting the vehicle mass properties test program across fuel states and vehicle orientations
• Develop and execute a fuel system orientation test program capturing fuel flow behavior, pump performance, and tank dispense sequencing across multiple vehicle orientations
• Define fixturing, tooling, and test setup requirements for fuel system bench and vehicle-level orientation testing, partnering with fabrication and ground support teams on buildup of long-lead hardware
• Coordinate with structures/loads and systems engineering teams to define the load cases and vehicle configurations required to support orientation and mass properties testing
• Feed mass properties test results into vehicle models and hand off clean data to support downstream ground vibration testing (GVT) and flight dynamics work
• Focus on the safety of integration environments, ensuring that potential harm to team members is eliminated by design, with particular attention to fuel/hazardous fluid handling and heavy-lift or orientation-change operations
• Implement and maintain processes for configuration control of fuel system integration environments and test fixtures
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), ground test, and flight test of prototype and production representative systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or related engineering discipline
• 5+ years experience in integration and test of fluid/fuel systems, and/or aircraft mass properties (weight and balance) test programs
• Experience with aircraft or vehicle mass properties measurement techniques (e.g., weight and balance, moment of inertia measurement via pendulum/swing or similar methods) and associated instrumentation
• Experience with fuel or fluid system components (tanks, pumps, valves, fluid lines, and associated sensors) and fluid system test setups
• Experience defining fixturing and test setup requirements for fluid system rigs or multi-orientation ground testing
• Adept at working safely with fuel, hazardous fluids, and pressurized systems
• Strong test engineering foundation — DAQ setup and operation, sensor selection and installation, and fluency in common communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Serial)
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills (effective for broad audiences)
• A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
• Defense Industry background desirable
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance in United States, United Kingdom, or Australia
