CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER at Storage Asset Management in York, PA

Job description

• Summary: This position is responsible for design, deploying, and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions for hundreds of clients. These solutions will include installing and configuring physical and virtual servers, designing and configuring networking hardware, deploying software using automation, and configuring various peripheral devices.

Responsibilities

• · Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure across multi-client environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure to include: Gen2 Data Lake, Data Factory, DevOps, Active Directory, Site Recovery, Virtual Machines, API Management and Backups.
• · Troubleshoot phone systems, manage vendor relationships, creating/maintaining documentation, and assisting with account creation for corporate and store users.
• · Lead Azure architecture strategy, including fault tolerance, high availability, cost optimization, and automated scaling.
• · Build data engineering solutions: Implement ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and SQL‑based workflows to support operational systems and strategic analytics.
• · Deploy and configure physical and virtual servers and workstations, ensuring alignment with performance, security, and redundancy standards.
• · Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation strategies.
• · Automate infrastructure provisioning and software deployment using tools such as PowerShell, ARM/Bicep templates, or other infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• · Integrate third-party applications and services into client environments, ensuring interoperability, security, and performance.
• · Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks or risks.
• · Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, network, and voice/phone system issues across diverse client environments.
• · Support identity and access management processes, including account provisioning, role-based access control, and lifecycle management for corporate and retail users.
• · Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to gather requirements, recommend solutions, and deliver infrastructure projects on time and within scope.
• · Provide technical leadership and mentorship to administrators and support associates.
• · Create and manage new accounts within the telecommunication system for SAM corporate and assist with store accounts.
• · Crosstrain on AWS architecture by developing proficiency in core AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, S3, CloudFront, and Route 53, as well as WordPress, to support e-commerce initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and hybrid cloud environments. Participate in the off-hours on-call rotation (nights and weekends)

Requirements

• · Associate degree (or equivalent certifications) in computer/technology information or 4+ years relevant experience in similar role.
• · 5+ yrs Experience supporting cloud architecture, Ms. Azure preferred
• · Azure certifications preferred: AZ-104 Azure Admin Associate (or equivalent expertise)
• · 1 yr Network and telecom experience
• · Strong verbal/written communication skills with ability to work independently as well as in groups.
• · Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• · Experience working with a diverse system of remote hardware devices and software platforms.
• · Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues quickly and effectively.
• Qualifications
