• We are hiring a Senior Director, Marketing to own the whole marketing function across demand generation, product marketing, and communications/events, with accountability for pipeline contribution, the market narrative, and the marketing budget. The team is seven people across the US and UK. You will set direction, connect marketing to the commercial number, and run as one go-to-market unit with our (Re)Insurance Sales and Broker Sales leaders.
• Based in London or New York, with regular travel across the US and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the full marketing function: demand generation, product marketing, and communications/events, including the team across the US and UK and the complete marketing budget.
• Bring the team together with a clear marketing plan and operating rhythm, and connect the function to the commercial number.
• Own an agreed and evidenced marketing contribution to pipeline, reported consistently and trusted by sales leadership and the board. Run the function off numbers: pipeline sourced and influenced, conversion by stage, cost per opportunity and programme return.
• Refresh positioning and messaging for a technical analytics product and hold the line on the narrative across marketing, sales and product, so the same story is told the same way.
• Hold and defend the full marketing budget. Make real allocation trade-offs between headcount, programmes, brand and events, reallocate on evidence, and show what each dollar returned and what was stopped.
• Lead and coach the team. Retain and stretch top performers, set clear expectations, and shape the team structure around the plan.
• Build a measurably stronger share of voice in cyber risk analytics across insurance and reinsurance media, analysts, and industry events.
• Run marketing across US and European markets. Judge where a global message holds and where it has to flex, and manage a team split across time zones without defaulting to one side.
• Partner closely with Sales and Product, and run as one go-to-market unit with the (Re)Insurance Sales and Broker Sales leaders.

Requirements

• Proven marketing leadership across all three pillars: demand generation, product marketing and communications/events, with a team of comparable size and seniority. Has set the plan, allocated a budget and been held to a pipeline number.
• Has marketed complex software, data or analytics into large enterprise buyers in a B2B SaaS or analytics business. Long cycles, multiple stakeholders, technical evaluation, six- and seven-figure ACVs. Understands how marketing creates and accelerates enterprise pipeline rather than reporting on it.
• International experience. Has run marketing across US and European markets and managed a team split across time zones.
• Budget ownership. Has held and defended a full marketing budget, made real allocation trade-offs between headcount, programmes, brand and events, and can evidence return.
• Metrics-oriented. Runs the function off numbers and is comfortable being inspected on them alongside sales. Knows the funnel numbers without looking them up and coaches the team against them. Stops what is not working quickly and moves the budget to what is.
• Product marketing judgement. Can shape positioning and messaging for a technical analytics product and hold the line on the narrative across sales, product and comms.
• Commercially accountable. Volunteers for the number rather than negotiating away from it, and is as comfortable in a forecast review as in a creative one. Not precious about which activities get prioritised, and agile enough to change them as the company scales.
• Executive credible. Articulate on the commercial argument, unfazed by seniority, trusted to carry the CyberCube story.
• A high accountability people leader who raises the bar on an existing team. Sets clear expectations, gives direct feedback, and is respected for it.
• Strong editorial judgment and taste. Will not ship undifferentiated content, and can tell the difference between a message that resonates with the market and one that only resonates internally.
• Partners with Sales and Product by choice, not by process. Low ego, high candour. Comfortable disagreeing with the executive team and being disagreed with.
• Based in London, with regular international travel across the US and Europe.
• Has marketed into insurance, reinsurance or financial services. Carriers, reinsurers, brokers, MGAs, the Lloyd's market, banks or asset managers. A major differentiator, but not a requirement.
• Experience marketing alongside a direct enterprise sales team with named accounts, including account-based marketing into a defined target list.
• Has built or materially raised a brand in a category that needed defining rather than one that already existed.
• Has run a flagship industry event presence and an executive speaking programme, and can judge which events are worth the money.
• Analyst and media relations experience, and comfort with thought leadership built on proprietary data.
• Has scaled a marketing function through a step change in growth expectations.
• Comfort in a fast-moving, AI-enabled commercial function. AI-assisted content production, agentic prospecting, automated reporting, no traditional SDR layer.
