Job description

• We are seeking an experienced Global Marketing Director to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover from November 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our global marketing function and ensure continuity across our strategic marketing priorities during this period.
• You will own the definition and execution of the global marketing strategy for the business unit, working closely with the Chief Growth and Innovation Officer, Engineering leadership, sales and the wider marketing organisation to build pipeline, grow brand presence and support the unit's commercial ambitions. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set direction, manage a global team and budget, and stay close enough to the work to keep campaigns moving.
• Because this is a fixed-term cover, we are looking for someone who can get up to speed quickly, take ownership of a strategy already in flight, and hand it back in good shape.

Responsibilities

• Strategy and positioning
• Define and execute the global marketing strategy for the Engineering business in support of growth targets
• Own the value proposition and messaging framework, ensuring consistency across markets, channels and sales teams
• Maintain an active watch on market trends and competitor activity, translating findings into commercial recommendations
• Demand generation and ABM
• Build and run account-based marketing programmes for global strategic accounts, in partnership with sales
• Plan and deliver integrated global campaigns across online and offline channels
• Oversee lead management, nurture and handover processes, and the reporting that sits behind them
• Content, brand and events
• Direct content development and creation across formats and markets, aligned to buyer needs and the sales cycle
• Ensure corporate brand standards are upheld across all marketing activity
• Own the global event programme, from strategy and selection through to delivery and follow-up
• Management of marketing operations specialists, each responsible for delivering the strategy and plan in their area:
• Analytics and performance measurement – channel and campaign reporting, pipeline attribution, and the insight that informs where investment goes next
• Social media management – organic and paid social strategy and delivery across the GBU's channels
• Marketing Salesforce management – CRM and Account Engagement administration, data quality, lead flow and automation
• Team, partners and performance
• Lead, develop and support a globally distributed marketing team
• Manage the marketing budget and ensure spend is directed where it delivers
• Assess, select and manage agencies and suppliers, including procurement processes
• Measure and report on impact through a clear KPI framework, and act on what the data shows

Requirements

• Fluent written and spoken English is must
• Fluent written and spoken French is desirable
• Team and budget management
• Account-based marketing design and delivery
• B2B marketing and brand management, including corporate branding
• B2B lead management and reporting
• Project and programme management
• CRM and marketing automation – Salesforce and Account Engagement (Pardot) preferred
• Social media management
• Supplier management and procurement
• Extensive years' of marketing experience, with a track record of delivering against commercial targets
• Proven experience marketing B2B services (engineering, technology or professional services an advantage)
• Experience managing a global marketing team
• Experience working across multi-country, multi-cultural teams
• Confident managing senior stakeholders up to executive level
• Skilled at managing multiple and competing stakeholders, and comfortable mediating between them
• Analytical, with the ability to draw genuine insight from data rather than just report it
• Proactive, driven and solutions-focused
• Committed to developing others and building capability in the team
• A strong communicator across written, verbal and presentation formats
• Passionate about marketing, and current on new practices, tactics and trends
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
