Job description

• The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the electrical design and engineering of complex commercial and institutional building projects. This position plays a critical role in developing high-quality electrical system designs that support energy efficiency, sustainability, and long-term building performance.
• This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in MEP building systems who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact facility solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of electrical design, engineering, and specifications for assigned projects from concept through completion.
• Develop accurate schematic design solutions for complex prospective projects within expedited timeframes.
• Organize and manage the engineering effort required to facilitate projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Direct and oversee designers and engineers assigned to project teams.
• Review and adjust calculations, drawings, and specifications as needed to ensure project success.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet schedule milestones and maintain project budgets.
• Perform site surveys, field investigations, and equipment assessments.
• Coordinate engineering support during construction and assist with project execution as needed.
• Maintain awareness of project scope, engineering budgets, and construction budgets.
• Communicate scope, budget, or schedule changes to leadership in a timely manner.
• Assist in developing and maintaining drafting, design, and engineering standards.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
