• The role
• We’re hiring an Operations Manager to keep our NYC office running smoothly and make our team and customer experiences feel thoughtful, organized, and reliable.
• You’ll own the practical details: a ready office, a well-run event, a new teammate’s first day, and a customer visit where nothing important gets missed.
• You’ll also use AI tools, connectors, agents, and simple automations to reduce repetitive work and make those operations more dependable.

Responsibilities

• Run the office: Own supplies, facilities, room readiness, meals, and relationships with building management, cleaning, and other vendors.
• Build a great team experience: Organize team gatherings, recurring rituals, and retreats, with clear plans, budgets, and follow-through.
• Coordinate onboarding logistics: Make sure equipment, desks, welcome details, and first-day schedules are ready; partner with IT on access and managers on their teams’ onboarding.
• Handle customer logistics: Coordinate client visits, meals, arrival instructions, travel arrangements, and onsite readiness with customer-facing teams.
• Plan events from start to finish: Coordinate our annual client conference and other customer and sales events, including venues, vendors, schedules, attendee needs, and contingency plans.
• Own merchandise and event materials: Manage ordering, stock, distribution, and shipping so the right materials arrive where and when they’re needed.
• Improve recurring work with AI: Turn requests into checklists, readiness summaries, reminders, and drafts. Connect tools where useful, verify outputs, and keep clear approval points for spending and external communications.
• Keep operations accountable: Track budgets, invoices, commitments, owners, and deadlines; surface issues early and close the loop.

Requirements

• Experience owning office operations, events, or administrative logistics, with concrete examples of work you carried through to completion.
• Strong organization, responsive communication, and attention to the details that make teammates and guests feel looked after.
• Comfort using AI tools and learning connectors, agents, and automations. You can explain what a workflow does, check its output, and recognize when a person needs to decide.
• Practical judgment about budgets, vendors, changing priorities, and confidential information.
• Confidence working with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion. Startup or tech-company experience is helpful.
