• The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), a recognized leader and innovator in public health and mental hygiene services, seeks a dynamic Part-Time Clerical Associate III to serve as Clerical Support for our District Health Centers.

Responsibilities

• 1.This is a citywide assignment. Work location can be changed based on the need of the agency.
• 2.The Clerical staff - Prepares draft daily facility reports for Facility Manager, and ensure corrective actions are taken
• 3.Liaison with Facility Manager and assist in walkthroughs for facility inspections at both Morrisania and Tremont District Health Centers
• 4.Monitoring Voter registration forms & Public Distribution
• 5.Works with the custodial team to ensure equipment is maintained and adequate supplies are on site
• 6.Oversee and assist with assigning parking spaces to employees in Tremont & Morrisania Parking lot -Oversee, follow-up and submit Facility Service Requests
• 7.Respond to complaints on behalf of the Facility Manager to ensure satisfaction of program staff and patients
• 8.Assist in Safety & Health training for Custodial Staff.
• 9.Tremont Health Center is designated as one of these sites for Neighborhood Health. Action Centers - Facilitating complaints received from the surrounding communities as they pertain to the district health centers.
• 10.Coordinated program needs in the Neighborhood Action Centers in Tremont & Morrisania District Health Centers
• 11.Provide outreach information to Community Groups and visitors to the building
• 12.Assist the Facility Manager with meeting planner schedule internal and external meetings for the Program staff and Community Groups at both Morrisania and Tremont HC
• 13.Respond to questions from the community and direct calls to appropriate programs
• 14.Assist with the distribution and tracking of voter registration forms/ at Morrisania & Tremont Action Centers
• 15.Represent the Facility Manager at monthly planning meeting with the Program staff; ensure that service request and correspondence flow freely between Program staff and Operations staff
• 16.Update all reports monthly and annually including Standard Operating Procedures Emergency Evacuation Plans Operations Contact
• 17.List for District Health Centers -Work with Facility Manager regarding renovations, and space allotment in the facilities

Requirements

• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
• Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
