Job description

• Join FNZ's Capital Markets team and play a key role in delivering quality outcomes across some of our most strategic and high-profile programmes, including major client initiatives and market infrastructure transformation projects. Working within our Syn~ platform, you'll partner closely with Product, Business Analysis and Technology teams to drive testing across the full software delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis and test coverage design through to execution, automation and release support.
• This is an opportunity for a quality-focused tester who thinks beyond test execution, understands dependencies, risks and impacts across the lifecycle, and is passionate about ensuring the right outcomes are delivered from the earliest stages of development. Experience with requirements traceability, test matrix creation and Selenium/Cucumber-based automation will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Leading testing activities across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to release and production support.
• Translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive test coverage, test matrices and test scenarios.
• Identifying risks, dependencies and gaps early through a shift-left testing approach and proactive engagement with delivery teams.
• Executing functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing across FNZ's Syn~ platform and key strategic programmes.
• Supporting and contributing to test automation initiatives using Selenium and Cucumber, alongside broader manual testing activities.
• Working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Developers to ensure solutions meet client and business requirements.
• Managing defects through to resolution, providing clear analysis and collaborating with technical teams to drive quality outcomes.
• Partnering with globally distributed testing teams, providing oversight, peer review and support to maintain high testing standards and consistent delivery.
• Contributing to test strategy, release planning, quality reporting and stakeholder communications across major programmes.
• Acting as a quality advocate, helping teams understand the broader impact of testing decisions and ensuring risks are identified before they become delivery issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Analyst Tester, Senior Tester or QA professional within financial services, capital markets or a complex technology environment.
• Strong requirements analysis skills, with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into test coverage, test matrices and traceable test artefacts.
• Experience working across the full testing lifecycle, not just test execution, with a strong appreciation of quality, risk and downstream impacts.
• A proactive, quality-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions, identify gaps early and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience working within Agile environments and applying shift-left testing practices to influence quality from the earliest stages of delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Business Analysis, Technology and Delivery teams.
• Exposure to manual and automated testing, with experience using Selenium, Cucumber or similar automation tools highly regarded.
• The ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams, providing guidance, peer reviews and support where required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to investigating issues and managing defects.
• A self-motivated, adaptable and delivery-focused approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting high-profile projects and clients.
