Job description
- Northern Gulf is looking for a proven sales professional to own and grow our Austin, TX territory.
- This is a field-driven outside sales role for someone who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, closing business and developing a market. You’ll work directly with restaurant owners, chefs, general managers, operators and other decision-makers—from individual restaurants to larger multi-location and strategic accounts.
- We’re looking for a self-starter who is comfortable being accountable for activity and results and who wants the opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding organization.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and close new restaurant, institutional and food-production accounts
- Build and manage your territory and sales pipeline from initial contact through close
- Conduct consistent in-person prospecting, site visits and service evaluations
- Develop relationships with owners, operators, chefs, GMs and other decision-makers
- Identify larger-volume, multi-location and regional account opportunities
- Document sales activity, follow-ups and pipeline while working toward established monthly account and UCO-volume targets
Requirements
- Proven outside sales or business-development experience, OR a strong food-and-beverage operating background with demonstrated sales ability
- Experience as a restaurant GM, chef, operator or proprietor is valued
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building and closing skills
- Self-motivated, organized and comfortable managing a territory independently
- Valid driver’s license
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
