• Counter/Warehouse Associate

• The Counter/Warehouse Associate plays a dual, high-impact role at the branch. You will bridge the gap between front-facing customer service and back-end logistics. This position requires an energetic multi-tasker who can provide outstanding service to walk-in contractors, manage order entries, and safely execute daily warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Counter Sales & Customer Service
• Greet and assist walk-in customers and contractors at the counter, providing prompt, professional, and friendly service.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and text regarding product availability, pricing, and order status.
• Promote product bundles, upsell complementary items, and introduce customers to seasonal promotions or new product lines.
• Resolve complaints and assist with customer returns or exchanges in a professional manner, adhering to company policies.
• Warehouse Operations & Logistics
• Process inbound freight by unloading trucks, checking in freight, putting product away in correct locations, and completing all required paperwork.
• Prepare outbound freight by accurately picking, packing, and checking customer orders and branch transfers prior to shipment.
• Maintain facility standards by sweeping aisles, down-stocking products, facing materials, and removing debris/excess plastic in designated warehouse zones.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts, and utilizing ladders to move product.
• Inventory & Order Management
• Maintain inventory accuracy by using computer systems and manual procedures to identify, organize, and track stock.
• Follow up with customers regarding back-ordered items, delivery changes, or order fulfillment timelines.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, order management software, and general computer applications.
• Adequate physical strength to repeatedly lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs frequently, including while utilizing a 6-foot ladder.
• Adaptability: Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled.
• Equipment & Math: Familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) sufficient for inventory management.
• Mindset: A positive, professional demeanor with a strong drive to learn, grow, and work with a sense of urgency.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or warehouse operations (experience in HVAC, building materials, or wholesale distribution is highly preferred).
• Forklift experience required.
• Must pass a drug test and physical exam.

Benefits

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, with a rotating Saturday schedule based on business needs.
• Minimum starting rate of $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (Starting rate based on experience).
